I climbed my first route (V1) and wouldn't you know the calluses on my hands ripped off. It was a really nice way to start off my day (definitely being sarcastic here), but I was not going to let that stop me from climbing harder routes cause I was feeling so great!
I always climb during mid-day so I can beat the rush of high school kids that all climb after school. There is usually not many people bouldering at that time besides some older people who might I say are very good! Today we were all trying out figure out how to do this V2 problem because it was actually really hard. It's the type of problem where you go fully horizontal on the wall, then have to switch to a vertical climb the rest of the way up. I couldn't get it, but I'm hoping next week that I can figure it out!
After climbing a couple V2's and trying that really hard one, I moved on to V3's. Now I have not completed a V3 in about six months because I have been limited on how much I can climb due to school and a bunch of other things. I still try them all the time but I don't get very far. Today was the first day that I got really close to completing a V3. I was only one hold away!
I tried to climb this route a few more times, but my arms were spent so I am making it my goal for next week to complete this route! I am very proud of how much better my climbing has gotten it just the past few days. When you eat healthy and stick with your training then you will definitely see the results!
Keep Motivated :)
